Austasia together with the Asian Indoor Cricket Federation will host the Indoor cricket tournament for the Asian Development Cup from June 17 to 22 at the Austasia International Sports Complex, Thalawatugoda.
Two strong Indian teams along with three Sri Lankan teams will battle it out for this prestigious trophy and handsome cash prizes are on offer.
The National Development Squad presently under training in preparation for the World Cup to be held in Australia this October will be one of the teams.
Coached by Asela Pathirana the former National Captain who has a wealth of experience in Indoor Cricket the team will be Captained by Chrishantha Peris of HNB a former Vice Captain of the Sri Lankan team at the World Cup 2004.
The Sri Lankan Masters the prestigious over 35 s who took part in the World Masters Championships in Aukland, New Zealand in October 2008, will be another team to watch out for. The third team in action from Sri Lanka will be the All Blacks.
Two Indian teams, one representing Indian Indoor Cricket Federation from Maharashtra State and another team named XLR8 will also be seen in action.
The finals will be staged on June 22 commencing 6.00p.m.
